Buckeye Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Awards $5,000 in Scholarships to Class of 2024 Seniors

COLUMBUS (May 14, 2024) – Buckeye Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, a leading heating, cooling and plumbing company serving Greater Columbus is proud to announce it has awarded $5,000 in scholarships to five deserving high school seniors through its MAX Scholarships for Leadership program.

Since 2015, MAX Service Group, the company that operates Buckeye Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, has awarded five $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in each market where the company operates. This year’s scholarship recipients include:

Samantha B., Thomas Worthington High School

Samantha is a member of both the National Honor Society and the National Technical Honor Society, highlighting her commitment to scholarship and excellence. With a passion for robotics, Sammy has been an integral part of the award-winning Worthington Schools WorBots team, leading her team to consecutive World Competition appearances and winning the prestigious Impact Award two years running for her exemplary leadership and dedication to STEM education. Sammy is also active in FFA at the Delaware Area Career Center and is currently ranked second in the state of Ohio in landscaping.

Quinn M., Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School

Quinn is a dedicated student who wears many hats both in and outside of school. She competes for a neighboring school’s swim team (as Fort Hayes Arts and Academic High School doesn’t have their own, is active in Historical Society and Green Team. She has also shown exceptional academic performance, maintaining a GPA over 4.0 with rigorous AP coursework. Finally, she’s acted as an art gallery intern and student ambassador for her school.

Addison H., Gahanna Lincoln High School

Addison stays very busy in year-round lacrosse training, but she makes time for other meaningful endeavors outside of athletics. She maintains an impressive GP of 4.06, participates in National Honor Society, volunteers at a local hospital in the summer and officiates youth lacrosse games. With a future goal of becoming an anesthesiologist and pursuing Biochemistry at Rider University, Addison is a natural leader who

Keegan W., Olentangy High School

Keegan is a dedicated and compassionate student-athlete who has demonstrated exceptional leadership both on and off the soccer field throughout his high school career. As a four-year varsity soccer player and team captain at Olentangy High School, he exhibited unwavering dedication and passion, earning the respect and admiration of his teammates and coaches. Beyond sports, Keegan's commitment to service shines through his involvement in various community initiatives, including mentoring students and organizing monthly "pay it forward" activities in memory of a late friend who passed away from suicide. These gatherings have supported many local causes including the Nationwide Children's Hospital and Operation Christmas Child.

Arianna F., West Jefferson High School

Arianna has maintained a 4.0 GPA while participating in a myriad of extracurricular activities, including cheerleading, soccer, tennis, and track. Throughout her high school tenure, Arianna has assumed leadership roles and has been recognized with the Rae Lecompte Spirit Award and the Leon Garrette Award. She’s also been active in student council, HOBY, National Honor Society, and more. With a lifelong passion for making a meaningful impact on the lives of others, Arianna plans to study nursing.

MAX Scholarships for Leadership is part of the MAX Gives campaign that focuses on charitable contributions to the community. Other community involvement and charitable initiatives have included HVAC giveaways to families in need and teachers, water heater giveaways to first responders and community volunteers, monthly donations to various charities, and donations to families during the holiday season.
